Budget woes end child welfare drug testing - Chicago Breaking News

December 3rd, 2008 by admin

just to be clear, it seems dcfs did not require drug testing before february. so this is not a extensive policy change. that which we should be concerned near is the funding cuts which reduce direct service to the children and families involved with dcfs. this be pleased have a far greater impulse than a small drug testing program.

that being said, workers are not being hired anyway - they are inmost nature laid off. 180 state employed dcfs workers are being laid off and private agencies are laying off direct service staff taken in the character of well. this is the real travesty - children and families will NOT receive the services that they be in want of. this resoluteness only cost us more in dollars for criminal systems and psychiatric hospitals that are only warehousing children and have little long term effectiveness for treating children with friendship problems and trauma.

this is the real travesty, not an ill-conceived drug testing cunning.

thank you george bush economic policies and war in iraq.
